Indexation and Crawl Path Analysis

Indexation and Crawl Path Analysis is the downward analysis of the entire website from the home page to the deepest product pages. Identifying all barriers preventing search engine spiders from accessing the content on the website. This is an analysis of how search engine spiders are able to navigate their way around a website.

Technical issues that prevent indexation are commonly brought about by:

 Content Management Systems (CMS)
 Session ID's and dynamic URL's
 Search engine unfriendly coding practices (such as JavaScript)
 Un-crawlable navigation
 Poor link architecture and lack of relationships between pages
 Server configurations, DNS setups, multiple domains and redirects

This document will identify all the technical problems currently facing the Delivra website, and provide solutions to overcome these problems. It has been designed as a recommendations document from which can implement these changes with SEO guidance (where necessary).

Once all the barriers have been removed and the website is accessible and ready for indexation. SEO will focus on optimising the on-page content. The optimisation of the on-page content will follow in later Content Relevancy documents.

If any of the recommendations provided by SEO in this document prove to be unfeasible for to implement, Delivra can inform SEO of this and an alternative solution may be found.
